Michelle R. Callahan is a relationship expert, coach, developmental
psychologist, and national media favorite.

Television. She served on the Editorial Board of Women’s Health
Magazine, has appeared on radio shows across the nation, and has been
featured or quoted in national and international magazines and newspapers.
At Yale University, Dr. Michelle hosted and produced a weekly
two-hour radio talk show covering issues of interpersonal relationships,
careers, and physical/mental health.
As
an internal and external consultant to Fortune 500 companies, Dr. Michelle
provided executive coaching, training and strategic organizational
development consulting in areas including leadership development, conflict
resolution, performance management, diversity, talent management, career
management, mentoring, and employee relations.
Dr. Michelle has provided client services for organizations such as
MTV Networks, The New York Times, Vh1, BET and Nickelodeon.
Dr. Michelle also worked as a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Chase
& Co. As an instructor at the University of Michigan, Dr. Michelle
taught Introductory and Developmental Psychology courses. She has
presented at several national conferences of many professional
associations including the American Psychological Association, The Society
for Research in Child Development, The Society for Research in Adolescence
and the National Council on Family Relations.
Dr.
Michelle is an expert in the following areas: family and romantic
relationships, mental health, stress and coping, women’s health and
career development. She has
conducted extensive research on the effects of violence in relationships
on the mental health and coping skills of children, adolescents and
adults. She has also
researched the risk factors for teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted
diseases, HIV and AIDS. Her
original research has been published in journals such as The Leadership
Journal, American Journal of Public Health, the Journal of Adolescent
Research and Violence Against Women.
Dr.
Michelle received her Ph.D and M.A. in Psychology from the University of
Michigan and her B.A. in Sociology from Boston College.
She was a National Institute of Mental Health Post-Doctoral
Research Fellow at Yale University.
